The past 6 years we thank you for the great support for this fundraising event. It helps both local and global communities. By raising money to eradicate Polio from the earth each tournament participant becomes part of history; in a solution that changes the world together."

 A GREAT SUCCESS

Rotary International took the lead in 1979 to vaccinate 6 million children in the

Philippines. Three years later there were no cases in the Philippines. Later in 1985, the World Health Organization and UNICEF joined with ROTARY to eradicate this horrible disease form our world. In recent years many more organizations and
governments have come aboard to assist in this noble effort.

WHO reports that so far this year there have been reported less than 5 cases of polio worldwide. Polio remains endemic in three countries, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. More good news continues with type 2 poliovirus officially declared

eradicated worldwide.
